Parkinson’s disease expert and practitioner, Lucille Leader will give us an overview of Parkinson’s Disease in Integrated Care and Approach for the Nutrition Practitioner.

Lucille Leader has an impressive track record, having served as the Nutrition Director of the London Pain Relief and Nutritional Support Clinic. Her work has been pivotal in the management of chronic illnesses, with a special focus on Parkinson’s Disease.

Working in collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals, Lucille’s mission is to help patients function at their best. She’s all about personalised care and tailors her recommendations based on a patient’s unique biochemical individuality. Her expertise delves deep into the biochemically-based nutritional support for patients with neurological degenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson’s Disease. There are diverse nutritional aspects that influence metabolism, and she’s here to shed light on them.

She will succinctly present the dopaminergic drug-nutrient interactions and protocols for optimum response and other essential points of nutritional management which impact on the functional health of people with Parkinson’s disease.

Award-winning Nutritional Therapist specialising in Parkinson's Disease

Lucille Leader, international Award-winning Nutritional Therapist, has held the positions of Nutrition Director of the Parkinson’s Disease Integrated Nutrition Clinic in London, UK as well as the Nutrition Director of the London Pain Relief and Nutritional Support Clinic which used to function at The Highgate Hospital in London, UK. This clinic, with the inspiring vision of its Medical Director Dr Geoffrey Leader, was an early pioneer of the integrated, team approach to the management of chronic illness, with a special interest in the management of Parkinson’s Disease. She is particularly interested in biochemically-based nutritional support of patients with neurological degenerative disease, at cellular level. Nutrition is based on Applied Biochemistry and In Parkinson’s Disease there are diverse nutritional aspects which influence metabolism.

Her work as a Nutrition Practitioner recommends the way forward for each individual, based on their personal biochemical individuality, established by medical and biochemical laboratory tests and clinical history. She is the author and co-author of 6 books on Parkinson’s Disease and also lectures on academic MSc Courses at CNELM.

Professional Memberships: Fellowship of The Royal Society of Medicine and Member of their Council for Food and Health, Fellowship of BANT and Membership and British Society for Environmental Medicine where she lectures on Parkinson’s Disease. Together with Dr Geoffrey Leader, she presents their well acclaimed Parkinson’s Disease Tutorials for Patients and Supporters.
