The Oral Microbiome and Systemic Disease
Led by Dr. Victoria Sampson and Dr. Dominik Nischwitz
Pathogenic oral bacteria may influence inflammatory pathways, particularly via the gut and by translocation through perivascular spaces; thus, maintaining balance in the oral microbiome is a critical strategy for reducing both inflammatory burden and the risk of certain disease
Our speakers will discuss new preventive and treatment opportunities that bridge the gap between dental care and health care.
Join us to learn about the role of the oral microbiome and the microbial community residing in the oral cavity to prevent systemic disease.
